Protection Order (Section 18): Prohibit the Respondents from committing any act of domestic violence, aiding or abetting the same, entering the place of the Complainant or any place frequently visited by her, and from communicating with the Complainant in any manner including personal, written, electronic, or telephonic contact.

2. Residence Order (Section 19): Pass appropriate residence orders in favor of the Complainant, including alternate accommodation or restraining the Respondent from dispossessing or disturbing her possession.

3. Monetary Relief (Section 20): Direct the Respondent to pay Rs. [amount in figures/words] towards the trauma, medical expenses, loss of earnings and maintenance of the Complainant and [amount] towards the child/children as applicable.

4. Custody Order (Section 21): Grant interim/permanent custody of the [CHILD/CHILDREN] to the Complainant, with appropriate visitation (if any) in the best interest of the child.

How to Fill this Domestic Violence Application (Quick Guide)

  1. Jurisdiction & Case No.: Ask the filing counter or your lawyer for the correct court name and format; the case number is assigned on filing.
  2. Memo of Parties: Write exact names, addresses, ages, and phone numbers. Ensure spellings match ID proofs.
